More Prepared. Less Anxious.
It's simple. The more prepared you are for (insert anything), the less anxious you will feel. With fires prowling and earthquakes looming, here are 3 tips (that's it...you can do this!) to minimize the crazy.
EMERGENCY BACKPACK
No need to spend hours analyzing the best options (because you did that already and never actually bought one). I bought this one and immediately felt better the day it arrived.
INDIVIDUAL BACKPACKS
Order one backpack for each family member and fill with: 2 shirts, 1 short, 1 pant, 2 pairs of socks, underwear, toys for kids (bag of legos, playing cards, bouncy balls), pair of tennis shoes, 1 roll of toilet paper, and toothbrush/toothpaste. Start with this. Once complete, feel free to add more. Attach this all-in-one-charge-my-phone-light-the-house-listen-to-the-radio-device for extra points.
GET A CASH STASH
A super simple step that takes less than 5 minutes. Go into the bank and ask for a lot of $1s (hence the reason it takes 5 minutes and not 30 seconds). Most importantly, put the cash somewhere safe/out of reach so you don't tap into it when you need to pay the gardener.
There are 1,683 more articles you can read, 3,899 more lists to pointlessly print and 4,489 more emergency supply websites you can peruse prior to taking any action.
OR YOU COULD JUST START.
Perfection is not the goal here. (Never using these is actually the goal but I digress.) It's time to cross this off your list, my friends. It's time.
